Birthday!

Well, today was Em's ACTUAL birthday, so her and I spent the morning making cupcakes--She had so much fun--and such a mess!!! She was so proud and couldn't wait to bring cupcakes to everyone. :)

So, I have had 6 days total of my preceptorship so far--which has been over 56 hours in the last 5 days--To say the least, I'm a bit beat! :) But I have to keep telling myself: it's only for a month... Then life can get back to normal (or semi-normal??). :) It's nice to see the end in sight, but a bit stressful when I think of everything I need to do before then! But all in all, I really do love it in the Pediatric unit at St. Pete's--The kids are great, AND I get to work with some great nurses. It's been a great experience for me so far...

Birthdays and Mother's Day

What a hectic weekend! On Saturday, we had a joint birthday party for Em and Alex at Scott and Heather's new house. It was so nice to get family and friends together. Em had so much fun and really got a kick out of all of her new things. Couldn't help but post this pic of Alex with her cake--So funny! All in all, though, it was a great night!

And as if the weekend wasn't busy enough, there was Mother's day. After going out to breakfast, we (Me, Em, Mick, Matt, Michele, Sean) headed out for a day on the boats--This was Em's first trip on the boat--I could tell she was having a blast--She even got to drive! :) I have to say, it was the best Mother's day--I was definitely needing a day like that to relax!

As for school, I am finally in the last stretch! We've started our preceptorships (I'm on the Pediatric unit at st. Peter's) and go until June 16th, the day of our graduation ceremony. I have to be totally honest and admit that I NEVER thought I would ACTUALLY make it to the end! What a crazy ride this has been!
